Kendrick Lamar is the latest brand ambassador for luxury French fashion house Chanel, starring in its Spring/Summer 2025 eyewear campaign.
Chanel unveiled campaign images on Instagram, captured by photographer Karim Sadli, with the caption: “Musician and House ambassador Kendrick Lamar shares his own take on the allure of CHANEL, sporting a pair of sunglasses from the CHANEL Spring-Summer 2025 eyewear collection, adorned with delicate crystal beads.”
The multi-Grammy award winning artist relationship with Chanel began in 2023, notably wearing a custom leather bomber designed by the then-creative director Virginie Viard to the 2023 Met Gala, which honoured the work of the late designer Karl Lagerfeld. He also helped design the set and soundtrack for the label’s January 2024 haute couture show.
“I visited the Chanel ateliers and saw the process of how something goes from design to execution. Seeing the people who work hard and bring these visions to life resonates with me,” Lamar said in a statement. “Chanel has a timeless legacy and that is always something I can get behind. Since they don’t make clothes for men, I knew it would have to be glasses.”
Chanel fashion president Bruno Pavlovsky said, “We strongly believe in eyewear and its potential. More than a simple fashion accessory, eyewear is part of the Chanel allure and is regularly seen on the runway.
For its Spring/Summer 2025 eyewear campaign, Chanel has brought together a stellar alongside Kendrick Lamar, cast includes fellow ambassadors and acclaimed actresses Lupita Nyong’o, Margaret Qualley, and Nana Komatsu.
