As reported by the New York Post, The Notorious B.I.G’s apartment where he recorded his first album Ready to Die is on the market for $1.7 million.

The duplex property has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and is one block away from Fort Greene Park. The apartment includes 12-foot high ceilings, arched windows, a recently renovated library, office space, and massive walk-in closets. The apartment’s current resident, Caroline Duncan, gave the apartment a gut renovation in 2011.

“It’s so calm and residential now,” broker Fabienne Lecole told the Post. “It’s hard to imagine it’s the same street that he sang about with all the drugs and gunfire. It couldn’t be more different.” Kathleen Perkins, a real estate broker, also added, “The neighborhood is all hipsters and millennials, people in finance, and tech people.”
