LL Cool J is starring in Coors Light’s 2024 Super Bowl commercial. The multihyphenate rapper is putting on his conductor’s hat to drive the beer brand’s Chill Train.

In the commercial, the Queens native saves a young couple from an awkward moment during a family football game watch party. The daughter introduces her boyfriend to her dad and tensions build when the boyfriend realizes he is in the opposing team’s jersey.

The woman suggests they have a Coors Light, and then LL Cool J drives the train from a far away place — through a beach, a wedding, a suburb, and even a movie set featuring country singer Lainey Wilson — and straight into the family’s home. He smiles and says, “Oh shoot! I forgot to play the song” and then The O’Jays “Love Train” plays.

“I don’t get to dress up in a conductor’s outfit that much. You know what I mean?” he told PEOPLE on set. “So I look forward to putting on my conductor’s outfit and having fun with that funny shaped hat and all that, and it’ll be fun. I love it. I think it’s great.”
