Wu-Tang’s Dunk High from 1999 in a US 9 has appeared for sale courtesy of the luxury consigner Justin Reed.
The sneaker was assigned to the Wu-Tang Clan as part of a special “Be True” release from Nike as it complemented the 1998 album The Swarm, a project made by the group’s associates, the Wu-Tang Killa Beez. The “Be True” collection was re-released in 1999 and to celebrate this Nike made the special Wu-Tang edition, of which only 36 pairs were ever produced.
Wu-Tang’s signature is emblem on the lateral rear-quarter panel and tongue of the premium leather sneaker in a yellow and black colorway.
The sneaker never saw a general release, but one pair is now available for $50,000.00 on Justin Reed website.
