Drake’s OVO owl logo will be added to the front of F.C. Barcelona’s home jersey for this weekend’s El Clásico in a unique collaboration with Spotify to celebrate 50 billion streams the artist has achieved on the platform.
Drake becomes the first artist ever to reach 50 million streams on Spotify. The OVO Sound logo will be officially taking Spotify’s usual spot on the front of the Barcelona jersey against Real Madrid on 10/16.
“We were really excited to celebrate one of the biggest games of the year and mark Drake’s milestone as the first artist to reach 50 billion streams,” said Marc Hazan, VP of Partnerships at Spotify. “We’ve always said that we want this partnership to be a celebration of fans, players and artists on a global stage – and there’s no bigger stage than El Clásico.”
No official announcement has been made if the special edition kit will be available for purchase.
