Rihanna releases her new single “Lift Me Up,” which is set to appear on the soundtrack of the highly anticipated Marvel film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
The track was penned as a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman. “Lift Me Up” was recorded in five different countries. Produced by Ludwig Göransson, the song was co-written by Tems, Göransson, director Ryan Coogler and Rihanna.
“After speaking with Ryan and hearing his direction for the film and the song, I wanted to write something that portrays a warm embrace from all the people that I’ve lost in my life. I tried to imagine what it would feel like if I could sing to them now and express how much I miss them,” said Tems.
