Dreezy Collabs with True Religion for Diamond Collection

Dreezy has teamed with True Religion to create a women’s exclusive denim collection.

The denim label worked with Dreezy on developing the “Diamond” collection comprised of nine pieces ranging from jeans and jackets, to bustiers and accessories. This marks True Religion’s first female campaign in four years as the brand looks to expand into the womenswear category.

“My mom was the first person I ever saw wear True Religion jeans and she bought me my first pair. So growing up, I’ve always been into clothes, and I’ve always expressed myself through what I wear,” the artist said in an interview with HypeBae.

The Hip-Hop and R&B artist explain that the True Religion team told her how many pieces she could create from scratch and repurpose, and from there with her creative partner Jahzeel began to work. “We did our research on the Y2K era, one of my favorite times of fashion, and remixed it with new fresh ideas that we knew the girls would love. I used to take art classes when I was younger, so I was able to sketch every design exactly how I envisioned it. The goal was to stand out while giving timeless fashion to capture every audience.”

The brand’s previous notable partnerships with musicians like 2 Chainz and Chief Keef, collaborating with Dreezy was the logical next step, according to True Religion CEO Michael Buckley.“I am thrilled about our first female hip hop collaboration with Dreezy and the opportunity to grow our community of female customers with a collection uniquely designed for women,” he said. This collection is a glimmering step in that direction.

Stay in touch as the collection will drop on November 10 at 9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET on the True Religion website.
