Lil Wayne performed during the 31st annual ESPY Awards, which was held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday (July 12).
The Young Money CEO opened the show performing his 2008 hit “A Milli.” Wayne added a twist to the lyrics dropping surprise sports-related bars throughout the performance, while some of this year’s biggest sports moments play on the screen behind him.
“God is good, Damar Hamlin is doing fine,” he raps.
Weezy name-dropped LSU’s Angel Reese, Buffalo Bills’ Damar Hamlin, the NBA’s most recent No. 1 draft pick Victor Wembanyama, Super Bowl champion Deion Sanders and NBA legend Dennis Rodman.
The crowd was full of famous faces from both sports and music including Quavo, 2 Chainz and Mike Tyson were in attendance. Check out the performance that had the entire audience on their feet and catch Travis Kelce recite the lyrics.
