Google revealed its Super Bowl LVII commercial promoting their Pixel phone and its camera features. The 90-second spot, “Fixed on Pixel,” will run in the second quarter of the game.
The commercial stars Giannis Antetokounmpo, Doja Cat and Amy Schumer. The ad will present a “lighthearted look at the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro’s photo editing features,” Google said. The ad will also insert a mention of Google AI, which is a hot subject, as it powers the photo-enhancing products in the phone.
“So we used a combination of real people’s real photos, some of our own, and fun scenes with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Doja Cat and Amy Schumer to demonstrate how Pixel can help people fix any flaw or distraction in their pictures,” said Daryl Butler, Google’s VP of U.S. devices and services marketing, in an email statement.
Last year, Google’s Super Bowl commercial, “Real Tone,” starred Lizzo, and won a Cannes Mobile Lions award. The ad focused on a theme of inclusion and how the camera was designed to richly capture all skin tones.
